awesome, I thought audacity was good, but audition is something else. I will soon put some “before” and “after” recordings on the blog. I was fiddling around with recordings of abdul rehman khan and altaf hussain khan and I think i substantially improved them. More experimenting to do before i get back into full conversion mode (from the cassettes). Caused a bit of flaming over at rmic by my innocent query about these programs (including nuendo) between the audio “experts”. I think it would be fun to have an experiment with an old recording and see who can get it to sound the best, in conjunction with an on-line poll. Granted, it is very subjective and the editing tools seem almost limitless. My next challenge is “hall” recordings. I want to see if I can improve them at all.
