I really should have known…….do not trust the weather reports! I should have known after the spurious reports in Goa the past few weeks. It was rainy in Kathmandu but I wouldn’t have had to delay my departure. The one short ride I did in the Kathmandu valley, intending to go to Nagarkot was cut short by the threat of rain. The traffic, noise and dust were as per the usual in Kathmandu. Nothing new there. There was an article in the newspaper about a patient who died being stuck in a 50 km. long traffic jam on the road I would be taking to Pokhara. In the event, when I did take that road the next day there was no evidence of a traffic jam.
