The day started out very well; this was going down the same road I had come up a couple of weeks ago. I did not expect any security issues (police escort) since I didn’t have any on this route coming up. Alas, after about 50 kms. security escort was forced upon me (for my own good). Granted, in Battagram where they stopped me, a strike was going on blocking the main road that I was on. I think I could have made my way through the crowd without any problem, but the police insisted. This strike was protesting the erratic electricity situation.
Thus me and bicycle in and out of police vans to Mansehra.
I decided that if I have any more of this I will just turn around.
